Boys/Camping from Bo Bunny

When I saw this paper I just had to have it. Not just because it is the cutest outdoor paper and we live in the Northwoods, but Justin was the boyest boy I ever saw. He could sit in the sand box for hours and hours. If he was ever missing, we just looked for the nearest pile of dirt and there he would be. He could get dirty standing still!
this paper line has matching cut out sheet and stickers. Also the arrows are cut out of a 12 x 12. It was a fun layout to make- mostly because the paper is so great. These are all of Justin, just at 3 different ages- He was always so adorable!!!

Pretty Papers

I absolutely loved this paper when it first came and I still love it- imagine that!!!! This layout was fun and easy to make. I love to get out my cutting mat and my exacto knife. I cut the stripe in a curve- don't worry if it is not perfect- you can place your mat on top of any bad portion.
Also I layered 2 ribbons - a small decorative edged brown ribbon on top of a plain gold ribbon. This gives it a little texture and interest.
I matted the small square epoxy sticker and added it on with a foam square.
I really enjoyed making this layout- all of the paper and stickers are beautiful and I used interesting and fun techniques.
Stop in the store and see it in person!!!

Cute, fast and easy

No, I am not talking about me....lol. I could not resist that one. Megan is giving it a thumbs down, but I am still leaving it.

ever need one of those fun cards in a hurry. Well, this set from Inkadinkadoo is an easy set to get a fast card from. And they are hilarious!!! The best part is you get a great quick card that everyone will rave about. I colored this in with my copic markers, because they have great colors and you don't see color lines. Then just mounted it on scrap paper and waaallaaa... a great, fun and cute card. If you have not tried the copics yet- you should!!! We are having another copic class on Tuesday June 30th. Otherwise stop in and try them out.

Ideas from Books

I had a class two weeks ago using an idea book and adding a twist. we did these two layouts in the class. We used the beautiful Mimosa collection from SEI. This is a fabulous collection- I love the colors. We switched the paper and made a couple of other small changes to the layouts in the book. The Me Book is the idea book that these came from. It is a great class to help you learn how to use idea books and magazines and give them your personality.

Beautiful Butterfly

We had a fabulous time at the Sayner Show last weekend- hope all of you that were able to go had as much fun as we did! I was doing a card with embossing powder and bleach.
Here is a variation on different paper. I just love this look. I first embossed the butterfly with a gold sparkle embossing powder. If you do not have gold sparkle- you can make your own. You just mix gold embossing powder with gold glitter (make sure it is over 50% embossing powder or it does not stick right!) then I painted bleach in the butterfly wings. This is what it looked like when it was dry. Papers are all different so try it on a small scrap first.
I know that many of you purchased this great set from Inkadinkadoo. If you missed out, we will have this back in stock soon!

Same cartridge just a different project

I am always saying how versitile the cricut is- I thought I should show you.

Yesterday I showed you a project with Animal Kingdom.

Today I thought that I would show you some more. Last month I used this cartridge in our monthly cricut class.

This is a great way for you to all get to know your machines better. I love making cards and layouts, but I also covered a journal in this class.

If you keep journals- you should be buying inexpensive composition books and decorating the covers yourself. I love this one!

The amazing Cricut

I love my cricut, it does some amazing things. But probably my favorite things are when I use it out of the ordinary. A couple of weeks ago I taught an Iris folding class. I think iris folding is fun and easy and a great way to make impressive cards. I used my cricut with animal kingdom to create my cards. Here is a sample- I think they turned out great!!!

Watch OUT Megan is now driving!!!!

I know that I should not be surprised but Megan got her temps and is now driving anytime she can get behind the wheel. Which is not often enough for her. Many of you know Curt was in a bad accident in mid January and totaled our truck. So we are using a rental temporally, and they won't let her drive that!!! Smart people! lol Actually she is doing pretty well. Yesterday her best friend passed out in class and was taken to the hospital- from there they airlifted her to Marshfield. She has a brain tummor about twice the size of a walnut. So please keep Brittney in your prayers. And Maggie too, she is having a hard time right now while her best friend suffers.

I know that my troubles which at times seem surmountable (especially lately) are just mere annoyences- but to add to the list this morning our water was froze!!!!!!!! I can't wait for summer.

Last week I had a class where we made pet books- here is a sample of the dog. This class was so much fun and who would not love one of these books? Here is a picture. Also I am working on the cookbook class coming up- this one is going to be great.

Oh- I also attached another picture of little miss driving megan taken at her last photo shoot!

We are in California!!!

CHA here we are!!! The weather is a little iffy, but we are not complaining. A little rain at 62 is better than no rain at 3. We are just starting to see some of the new things that are coming out. So far we have seen adorable baby papers from Little Yellow Bicycle- here are some pictures of projects from one of their new lines. I will add more pictures in a few hours!!!

January Kit of the Month

It is that time again to start putting together our January kits of the month and get our samples ready for the February kit of the month. This is probably the most hectic time of the month for us- trying to get 2 kits ready on top of our other classes and of course our home lives. And this month we are getting ready for Winter CHA (we leave on Friday Jan 23th!) I actually think that this may be my favorite time of the month- even though it is so busy- I love the engery of all of the creating! It really stimulates me and keeps me hopping. Here is one of the cards from the January kit. It uses that popular collage technique.

WoW!!! Megan has just started her drivers training. Who would believe that my baby is already going to start driving! I must be getting older. Who knew? She is so excited that it is almost contagous- I repeat almost. She is online every night checking out what kind of car she wants. I am not sure where it is coming from- but knowing Megan she will end up with it! I really need to learn how she does it! Look at this adorable picture from one of her recent photo shoots.
